Fall colors near the lake

 After one of my elementary school visits, I had to drive down the lake road. The fall colors were stunning. 

小学校へ行ったの後に湖の近い道路で運転した。紅葉はとても綺麗だった。

I've considered stopping here many times before, but never have. I'm so glad I did this time. 

前にここで止まる事が考えたけど、した事がなかった。今回したのが嬉しかった。

This tree. I've never managed to get a good picture of how red it is against the gorgeous blue before. 

この木。この前にいい写真ができなかった。好きな事は明るい赤と綺麗な青ね。

It was a nice drive back to the JHS. 

中学校へ戻るの運転が綺麗だった。

Monday Holiday

After our adventures to the Sea of Clouds, K and I went for bagels. Somehow she’d never been to the bagel shop – it’s probably my favorite shop in town.

雲海の後にKとべグルを食べた。Kはべグルの店へ行った事ない。私とてもびっくりだった、大好きな店から。

Of course, we had to peek at the fall colors surrounding the river near the bagel shop.

もちろん、べグルの店の隣の川の紅葉を見た。

We went a little closer to the water.

川の近いへ行った。

We took the road out to see the view. The mountains were gorgeous, but they’re so tiny in this shot. Wide angle didn’t work so well.

眺めを見るのためにこの道路へ行った。山がとても綺麗だったけど、この写真に小さかった。この場合に広角レンズは良くなかった。

After that, we split up for a bit and then met back up for lunch. We went to the café by the lake, Ito-ya, for it’s last day of the season.

それから、家に帰って、昼食に会った。今年の最後の日に湖の近いカフェへ行った。

We had curry, which was perfect for the slightly chilly day.

カレーを食べた。ちょっと寒い日にちょど良かった。

I had chai, of course!

もちろん、チャイを飲んだ！

This is Mrs. I. She always takes good care of us.

この人はIさん。Iさんは私たちがお世話になる。とてもうれしい。

楽しい昼食の後にAとKと私。

It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend after being sick the week before.

前の週に風邪がひいたの後にとてもいい週末があった。

Lake Mashu

On day 1 of our travels, we went hiking, had lunch and went on a cruise.
旅行の1日目にハイキングしたり、昼食を食べたり、クルーズをしたりした。

On day 2, we got up early to go explore the lakes and get to Asahikawa not too late.

2日目に湖と旭川へ行くのために早い起きた。

Lと私の初めての民宿！

Before we left for the lakes we went to go see a gorgeous view.

このきれい眺めがある所へ行った。

Stunning!

It seemed to be a park golf course in the midst of a bunch of farm land.

農場の間にパルクゴルフがあったらしい。

Lake Mashu. It reminded me a lot of Crater Lake, in Oregon.

摩周湖。オレゴン州のクレーターレイクと似てると思った。

If you turned your back to the lake, you could see for miles.

湖の反対にきれい眺め。

The water was such a stunning color.

水はとてもきれい色だったね。

The sky was really cool, too.

空もすごかった。

After this, we headed for Lake Kussharo.

この後に屈斜路湖へいった。

Memanbetsu Training

I headed out to Memanbetsu for an ALT training.

女満別の研修へ行った。

Look who I found on the train from Asahikawa.

友達と旭川から電車を乗った。

After we got there, we went for a walk.

着いたの後に歩いた。

L and Lake Abashiri.

Lちゃんと網走湖。

After our walk and a stop at the michi-no-eki, we decided on yakiniku for dinner.

歩いて道の駅へ行って、夕食に焼肉にした。

美味しいソースに玉ねぎ。

We stayed at the hotel my vice-principal recommended, so I had to take a picture.

校長先生のおすすめホテルで泊まったから、写真を撮る事が必要だった。

Golden Week Day 2

The day started with me deciding I was going to walk from Asakusa to Ueno park. I looked at the map and saw that it was mostly a grid, so I picked a random street and walked in that direction.

浅草から上野公園まで歩くこと決まった。地図を見た時に浅草と上野の中に道はグリッド見たいから、矢鱈に道が選んで歩いた。

Along the way, I found this random shrine between two buildings.

途中に二つ建物の中にこの面白い神社を見た。

This shrine was inside Ueno Park. I thought it was really pretty. Though, having just escaped the eternal winter of Hokkaido, I was bound to think anything that included sunshine and green trees was pretty.

上野公園にこの神社があった。きれいと思ったけど、北海道の冬から逃げったから、太陽があったら、緑色な木があったら、何でもきれいね。

Korean Café was the name of this restaurant. Can you guess what kind of food they had?

韓国料理カフェ。

First was corn tea and a mini towel to wipe your hands on.

コーン茶とタオル。

They had a Korean version of MTV playing in the background.

韓国の音楽のビデオがあった。

It was a perfect lunch.

とても美味しかった。

After I left the park, I decided to explore Ueno a little bit.

公園から出てから、上野で歩いた。

This stand was selling fresh melon on sticks. Yum!

この店はメーロンがあった。おいしい！

This guy was shouting to get customers to come into his store.

この人の仕事は大変。

After a long day of walking around I had to decide what to eat for dinner, after even more walking I decided on this pizza shop that had calzones.

長い歩いてから、晩御飯を決める事必要だた。もう少し歩いてから、イタリアのレストランでカルシォーネを食べた。
