Edgefield

After not taking my camera with me for months, I decided tonight I was going to bring it along.
最近カメラが持たないけど、今日持って行くと決まった。

Some friends and I went to Edgefield to have dinner and walk around because the weather was so nice.
天気が良かったから、Edgefieldと言うホテルで夕食を食べて散歩するともりだった。




After dinner, we decided to sit by the fire. I have been to this exact spot several times and always thought, I should take a picture. Luckily tonight, I had my camera.
夕食の後に火の隣に座って話した。何回もここで写真を撮りたいと思った。今日カメラがあったから出来た！

Fall colors near the lake

 After one of my elementary school visits, I had to drive down the lake road. The fall colors were stunning. 

小学校へ行ったの後に湖の近い道路で運転した。紅葉はとても綺麗だった。

I've considered stopping here many times before, but never have. I'm so glad I did this time. 

前にここで止まる事が考えたけど、した事がなかった。今回したのが嬉しかった。

This tree. I've never managed to get a good picture of how red it is against the gorgeous blue before. 

この木。この前にいい写真ができなかった。好きな事は明るい赤と綺麗な青ね。

It was a nice drive back to the JHS. 

中学校へ戻るの運転が綺麗だった。

Sea of clouds, take 2

On Wednesday morning, K and I went back up to Tomau to try to see the sea of clouds again. 

水曜日にKとトマムに雲海を見に行った。

Unfortunately, it was just foggy. Even so, I was amazed at how many people were there. 

霧だけあったけど、たくさん人いた。

I thought these trees looked interesting in the clouds. 

この木は霧にきれい。

K and I, this sign shows how high up we are. 

このサインは高さを見える。

A Friday drive

On Friday, I visited one of my tiny schools, there are only about 8 students in the whole elementary school. The tiny schools are awesome because I get to talk to all of the kids more.

金曜日にとても小さい小学校へ行った。全員は８人ぐらい。小さい学校に生徒とよく話せるから、大好き。

On my way home, I spotted this, a scene that I always think, I should take a picture, but there’s no good place to pull over. This time I realized it when driving back, and there’s an excellent place to pull over if you’re coming back into the main part of town.

帰る中にこれを見た。いつもきれいと思うけど、金曜日この所の最初写真を撮った。

撮りたかった桜の写真！

I finally got something quite similar to what I’ve been wanting to shoot for the last 2 years or so. It would have only been better if the sky had been more clear to provide a bit more contrast for the mountains, but I can’t control the weather and it was finally a mostly clear day.

More on the day’s adventures later, but I was so excited about this shot, I had to share it!

I’ll probably try again next year for a day that’s completely clear.

晴れの日に山の方が見えるから、たぶん来年もう１回撮って見る。
